Alumasc Facade Systems Strengthen Technical Services Team

Alumasc continually strive to meet customer needs by providing a constantly evolving range of high performance External Wall Insulation and Render System. In addition, we recognise that these products must be supported by excellent levels of service and technical support.

Nathan Kermode Alumasc Technical DepartmentIn order to achieve this, Alumasc continually invest in their employees, with a particular focus on training and personal development, which benefits both the employee and the company in the long-term.

Following ongoing success and demand of Alumasc’s Façade Systems, the need to further expand the Technical Services department was identified.

Nathan Kermode joined Alumasc 3 years ago as an Apprentice in the Customer Services department. Over this period he developed his technical product knowledge whilst processing orders and dealing with customers queries by telephone and email. He demonstrated a pro-active approach, always going the ‘extra mile’.

When the need to strengthen the Alumasc Facades Technical team was identified, Nathan was the obvious choice. Here, he can develop more in-depth technical knowledge of our External Wall Insulation and Render Systems from the existing team and continue to provide customers with the high level of service they had become accustomed to. He has recently completed his City & Guilds qualification in CAD and has now been promoted to Trainee Facades Technician.

Mark Gibbs, Technical Director said:

“During Nathan’s time within the Customer Services department it was evident that he was managing an ever-increasing workload extremely well, in an organised and highly efficient manner. He began to answer queries of a more technical nature, resulting in a number of positive comments from customers he dealt with, complimenting him on his helpfulness and quick response.

The decision was made to harness these attributes and give Nathan a new opportunity within the Facade Technical Department. I am happy to welcome him to the team and look forward to working with him more closely”.

The various tasks that Nathan will be dealing with include specification and quotation production, product development, u-value calculations, providing CAD details, along with managing sample requests and general technical enquiries.

Alumasc welcomes Sarah to the Marketing Team

This week Alumasc welcomes Sarah Baker to the marketing team. Concentrating on Alumasc’s roofing and facades brands, Sarah is undertaking a 2 week work experience placement.

Alumasc Flat Roofing Work Experience Sarah BarkerSarah is currently studying for 4 A Levels at Runshaw Sixth Form College in Leyland, Lancashire. The College arranges work experience programmes with local companies to develop their students’ vocational skills and Alumasc was happy to help. Sarah will be working alongside David Luukas and Anita Houghton within the marketing department, carrying out tasks relating to data segmentation, email marketing, social media, website content updates and general administration duties.

Sarah has an interest in Business Management and Marketing and therefore plans to study a Degree Level Course in Management with Marketing at Bath University.

Sarah says:

“I would like to find myself within a blue chip company in the future with the opportunity to work my way to management level through hard work and enthusiasm. I would also like to gain as much valuable experience as possible to provide me with the skills to set up my own successful business one day. I am enjoying my time at Alumasc and value the work experience they are offering me”
