Swisslab Transforms Thermal Performance at Dundasvale Court

Swisslab External Wall Insulation (EWI) from Alumasc has been used for a major refurbishment project at Dundasvale Court in Glasgow. Swisslab External Wall Insulation (EWI) from Alumasc has been used in the major refurbishment project at Dundasvale Court in Glasgow. 11,500m2 of Alumasc’s BBA Approved Swisslab was installed on the main façade and access stairs/walkway areas by the main contractor and approved installer Morris and Spottiswood. The system incorporated 60mm PIR insulation boards with double thickness insulation being used on the building’s central panels to create projecting features. The walls were finished with Alumasc’s plain polymer modified render in grey, cream and white, together with areas of aggregate dash in Silver Granite, Anton Buff and Brightstone Cream. Silkolitt silicone renders were used in the corridor and access stairs/walkway areas.
