Alumasc’s Swistherm External Wall Insulation system has given homes in Rochdale a new lease of life by upgrading their external appearance and improving energy efficiency.
The refurbishment project saw Alumasc working alongside the main contractor Caribou Green Warmth LLP.
The scheme falls under the remit of The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), a statutory Combined Authority which co-ordinates key economic development, regeneration and transport functions for the ten authorities in Greater Manchester
Speaking of the installation, Alumasc Area Sales Manager for the North West, Andy Gait said, “Having worked closely with both the main contractor and installer on a number of projects, I am looking forward to building our relationship further to deliver unified, market-leading schemes for the people of Rochdale and beyond.”
Martin Gerrelli, the Managing Director of Caribou said, “working with Alumasc has again been a positive experience. Materials are freely available and represent good value for money. We look forward to working with Alumasc into the future.”
The Swistherm direct-fix insulated render system is ideally suited to refurbishment projects. It is a BBA Approved, fully warranted system with an effective life in excess of 30 years. Swistherm is fully weather resistant whilst remaining vapour permeable and allows the fabric of the building to act as a heat store, increasing thermal efficiency.
Alumasc’s thin-coat Silicone Renders are used to create a contemporary finish and are available in a wide choice of textures and colours.
